You must fully understand what your target audience is asking for and deliver that exact product or service. At VBP OutSourcing, this is what we encourage our clients to keep in mind when marketing their business to the government in order to secure a federal contract. The government knows exactly what they are looking for in a contractor, and because of the competitive process of winning a contract, companies must be sure they are focusing on providing exactly what the contract is asking. If not, the agency will go with the company that has a definite focus, proving that they are giving their full attention on the specific need and are able to deliver the goods.

This is great – thanks for sharing your approach – I also like to keep the highlights close at hand and bring them into every weekly meeting with the staff.

At the beginning of the year, I always like to carry out the following exercise: I find an inspiring focus point on which all my actions and intentions will be based in the coming year.

Of course – as recommended by many experts – I lend considerable importance to the act of assessing the year ending by putting it in writing. This always allows me to take some time for myself and clear my head, while setting new, clear, specific objectives. The practise of assessment and objective-setting are, as far as I’m concerned, two essential exercises for those aspiring to self-actualization.

However, once the assessment is completed and objectives set, one of the most effective techniques that people often forget, and to which they pay little attention, is that of bringing their large range of objectives and intentions into one simple focus-point. This technique alone can save you considerable time and energy and can be a source for personal growth.
