The one point I’d make is that Sales is just as critical when it comes to lead generation. The only way marketing teams can know if their campaigns are effective (ie not based on clicks but rather on revenue increases) is through feedback from sales. I have been searching for a better word for this .. often describing it by differentiating between offsite and onsite marketing (which is still confusing for people). “Creating backlinks” isn’t really SEO, but sometimes gets rolled up in the same definition. Is there a new trending term that we should be using to describe the total picture of SEO+ ?
