Purchasers of goods need to be reassured that in the event of a problem with a purchase they will be able to telephone the service provider. A landline telephone number (ie with area code) plus a physical address lend additional reassurance. I will not purchase goods from a website that fails to provide such information.

Hi John,

I suppose I was looking at the order in which I tend to tackle things with my clients – so maybe not a hierarchy, more of a process.

It just resonated with me as I read it. First things we tackle are usually points 1-5, then we get into 6 and 7, then we move on with 8 and 9. However, number 10 we do usually tackle at an earlier point.

It may not have been purposeful, but it spoke to me and my process.

Thanks for the great post anyway!

Blogs with fresh content are a really great indicator that you’re committed to helping your customers AND you take your web presence (and your business) seriously.

It’s interesting the order that the items have been written in, there’s almost a hierarchy inferred by the structure of the article. Was this intentional?

Those mistakes are very typical, but not many notice them and consider as the reason for which users don’t trust the website.
